Queering
Variable Typeface
Queering is a bold display typeface inspired by protest posters and queer publications updated for the modern age. The name Queering comes from the activity of ‘Queering a Space’ — transgressing what are seen as fixed categories — such as gender and sexuality.
Queering is variable and contains six weights ranging from Regular to Heavy Expanded, with Latin Extended support, as well as a vast library of glyphs that scale with each weight for impact. Queering is pay-what-you-want and open source, covered under the SIL Open Font License with all proceeds benefiting the Ali Forney Center.
